Sideboard recovery

We have received this beautiful retro "Beautility" sideboard thanks to young couple from North Shields. We believe it was used by nice housewife since 1950's, but unfortunately time has left its signs. Scratches and stains all over the sideboard were pretty bad. It would be real shame to throw such a lovely piece away...
As soon as sideboard arrived to our shop, P. spotted its potential and... this way we can tick the box "First furniture restoration" - DONE! :-) Piece like that should stay close to its original version, so P. decided not to go towards refunking it, instead he sanded sideoboard down and brought beautiful wood features out. Bit of wood dyer gave it new darker look and careful waxing created this masterpiece, so other lovely lady can use it again! Well done P.!

Its been a while.. Studio closed 19th August 2009 open again Thurs

Hello everyone, apologies for not blogging sooner.

Couple of things: we will be closed Wed 19th but will be back open as usual on Thursday 20th, just incase your aiming to call in.

Everything going well in the studio these days, R has taken on a supersized coffee table and is working thorough a very hip and funky design on it, K is finishing off her button back upholstery on her telephone table that has now turned black - and looking very stylish. P has finished off a lovely bureau that has been well detailed, Im currently overcoming another wardrobe design, that is prooving to be rather taxing while still finishing off some upholstered shabby chic chairs. H has brought the beetles int o the studio with a funky unit that you will be able to find on the website.

We have lots of new items coming to the shop next week both 2nd hand items and refunked pieces.

Will add some more pics today of the studio so you all get a bit more of a feel of the place if you havn't managed to get down and visit us yet.
